I re-listened to this interview of Seth Godin by Tim Ferriss again this week, and it was just as good the second time. Seth is such an incredibly fascinating and inspiring figure to me, I really admire the way he lives and works.
Being self-employed is awesome in a lot of ways! One thing I’m working on is creating that separation between work and home, and I love these ideas for rituals to de-stress.
There are no less than three Little Free Libraries in my neighbourhood – and that’s just ones that I have stumbled across without looking for them! Today on a lunchtime walk I found a book that my sister has been wanting to finish after having to return it to the real library, so I grabbed it for her and will return when she’s done. Not to harp on this too much, but has there ever been a better invention than a library!!?!?! You can check if your neighbourhood has any here.
This video is targeted at people who work with kids in schools, but the message is universal. How much happier would our world be if we could bring our best selves to the table as much as possible? I always need this reminder.
Did you know that the app Later has a preview feature for Instagram? Meaning you can see what a photo will look like in your feed. A small but fun feature if you care about that sort of thing.
Currently reading: Linchpin by Seth Godin, Pathways to Possibility by Rosamund Stone Zander, and listening to You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay as an audiobook. Each of them is in a different format, which is the only way it’s manageable. ;)
The photo above was taken at Early Bird Espresso, where I went for a coffee date with my friend Laura. Since I moved to Toronto we’ve been trying to have one at least once a week and they’re so much fun!
It’s been a good week for me! I’ve been getting back into using my Fitbit again and hitting my 10,000 steps a day, which means more walks, more exploring, more dance parties in my apartment = all awesome stuff. The public library is my office most days, which suits me pretty well, especially since it’s so close to my house. I’ve been doing a good job of making plans with friends and I’m also really enjoying my alone time. I think I’m learning a lot guys! Life is an interesting adventure, and this new season of my life has a lot to teach me. I hope to share lots of the journey with you as I go. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! xo.
