Every week on Friday, I share a list of the most interesting and inspiring content I’ve read lately here on my blog. You can expect thoughts on productivity, happiness, balance, spirituality, politics, and more. Subscribe here to get updates. See archives here.
A very good and thought-provoking question from Jocelyn K Glei, plus a whole thread of answers from cool people on Twitter. I think my answer would be “Taking a 3-day business/life retreat in April”.
In case you spent a bit too much money over the holiday season, Sarah is here to help us with her amazing tips! I especially love the No Grocery Challenge and choosing free activities to catch up with friends.
I have come full-circle and am back to using Asana for all my task management, and WHY DID I STOP? Well I know why: I love to try every single shiny new software in case it’ll be helpful for my clients, but…we’re back in business and better than ever.
A hard but important read about how the gig economy is pushing us to be selling ourselves, all the time. It’s exhausting. “This trend toward increasingly market-driven human interaction is making us paranoid, jittery, self-critical and judgmental.”
This week I was introduced to a cool new app called Golden Thread Tarot that offers digital readings as well as the ability to log your readings with any deck you use. It’s super cool, and the physical decks they sell are so gorgeous too.
For 2019 I am back to doing 1 Second Everyday, because I missed it!! I am so sad that I didn’t have a record of my life in 2018, so this may just become an always-on resolution from now on. If you want to get started, I would highly recommend!
I am inspired by all the books I read in 2018. It was such a fun and fulfilling reading year! You can see everything I read here. In 2019 I am upping my goal by quite a bit, which is having the unexpected bonus of making me feel free to read ANYTHING I want – this week I took Little House in the Big Woods out of the library.
In case you missed it, the podcast is back! In this week’s episode, I’m sharing my process for reflection on 2018 & goal-setting for 2019.
Happy New Year! Wow, I really needed that holiday break, for so many reasons. After a few days off with my family, followed by several days completely by myself, I am feeling so refreshed and reinvigorated to tackle the challenges of the year ahead. Life is feeling lovely and I am physically feeling so much better after the ickiness of being sick in December. I have so much to look forward to in 2019! This weekend I’m recording a new episode of the podcast and going to a different kind of exercise class than I’ve experienced before. I hope you have a wonderful weekend too! xo.
