Sarah launched her cool resource library this week! Head over to check out all the free workbooks – I already have plans to fill out the “how to love winter” one..

A lovely post on loving each moment by my blog friend, Malavika.

How to become a millionaire! A very interesting article on opening your mind to more money.

I really liked Jess Lively’s interview with Gabby Bernstein this week.

Some tips on asking common questions in a tactful, gentle way.

New research came out suggesting a link between hormonal birth control to depression – yikes.

So I’ve moved into my new apartment! I’m living in a neighbourhood I absolutely love, and I’ve seen friends every day since I moved in. Life is feeling exceptionally good right now, and I’m really happy. Follow along with my mini adventures on Instagram! This weekend it’s Thanksgiving so I’m excited to head home and play with the puppy, see my family, and eat good food. I hope you have a wonderful weekend too.

First and foremost: I started using Workflowy this week and I am in love with it so far. It’s an incredibly simple, nested list-making app. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but already it’s proven to be a very straightforward way to keep track of all the crazy thoughts in my brain, and I love that you can “collapse” the nodes so that the whole thing looks streamlined. They have apps for smartphones, and it’s been a permanent browser tab for me over the past few days. Check it out! (PS. When you sign up, we both get 250 extra “entries” per month – not really an affiliate link per se, just a great deal for everyone.)

7 questions to ask as a minimalist business owner – or person! Simple but profound, and lots of interesting examples across business & personal domains for how to use each in a practical way.

Why we resist things that make us happy and what to do about it. I wrote about this topic a couple of weeks ago, but I love that Sarah includes strategies for overcoming this tendency.

I’m sorry to say that I needed this reminder to not try to look at my phone while driving (only stopped at intersections, but still) – thanks mom!

I bit the bullet and bought a license for Hazel this week. I haven’t set up many rules yet, but I know that the possibilities of this app are endless. For those who don’t know, Hazel is an app that runs in the background of your computer automating things based on rules you create – think moving files around, emptying the trash, sorting things for you, etc. You can do a free trial through their website to see what you think.

On the off chance you’re still not convinced (which personally, for better or for worse, I cannot fathom): fact-checking of the debate.

The photo of me above is from a tour I took of Wishing Well Sanctuary last weekend! It’s a local sanctuary home to goats, cows, sheep, horses, pigs and other animals who have been rescued. It was a really nice experience to get to visit with some of the animals there.

I’m moving into my new apartment on Saturday! It’s been a bit of a hectic time gearing up for the move, so the week has gone by really quickly. But! Things are coming together. I am feeling more prepared each day (Workflowy is helping..), and my parents are going to help me with the move, so overall I am feeling okay. Wish me luck! I really can’t wait to get settled and unpack all of my beloved things that have been in storage for so long now. Have a wonderful weekend! xo.

Sixteen small steps to happiness. This post is truly what it’s all about.

Coping with stress is necessary and important! Big love for this big list of ways to do so. It reminds me of a post I once wrote about things to do on study breaks, which also contained 101 items.

Okay, I don’t think any of us are “ruining” our lives here, but I still liked this post a lot.

Creating a new things practice is an awesome idea, and mine has brought so much happiness to my life over the years. This is a good reminder for me to pay more attention to my 26 list again!

I only recently discovered Caroline and her site Made Vibrant. I think her art is beautiful and her subscription Color Your Soul seems so fun and interesting.

This week I am finally sinking my teeth into this book and I really wish I hadn’t waited so long! I actually started it once, about a year ago, but for some reason didn’t get into it. This time around, I can’t put it down.

I’m hoping to take a course through Ladies Learning Code this fall. Looks so great!

Another week gone by in a flash. I did some reading, had some meetings, did lots of work on the computer, went for lots of walks (yay!) and took some time for dreaming up ideas – or trying to, at least. This weekend I am hoping to decompress, make some plans for my move next week (!) and finish that amazing book. I hope you have a great weekend too.

I loved this list of spots to visit in Paris! I don’t have any trips planned at the moment, but I hope to go back to Paris one day soon (and San Sebastian, and Bologna..)

Yesterday I finally received my leggings from Girlfriend Collective! They have a cool promotion going where you pay only the shipping for your first pair – you just have to wait a little while. I ordered mine back in April, but they had delays with their factory so my shipment was particularly delayed. I think now the turn-around time is shorter, and I would highly recommend them! They’re so comfortable and the fabric and design are such high-quality.

A really helpful-yet-scary tool for seeing whether your data may have been compromised in any of the hacks that have been happening to big companies over the last few years. If it has though, just change your password! Better to know.

The link above was from this week’s Useletter, one of the few newsletters I subscribe to by email. Every edition has at least one link or tip that is highly useful or interesting.

Have been binge-listening to Emotion all week while I work. Thanks Carly Rae!

I’ve been trying not to watch any TV this week (success!) and have been reading instead. I’m currently reading Small Move, Big Change, and finished The Crossroads of Should and Must earlier this week. Both are awesome!

Happy to announce that I finally got a new phone this week – I had been using my trusty old iPhone 4 for around five years, and it was so old and tired. On my new phone, some of the first apps I downloaded (besides the obvious Google Maps + Instagram) were: Transit, Headspace, and Clue. What else should I get??

This week went by in a flash of work, playing with the puppy, updating my personal website and trying to get out for a walk every day. It’s an interesting season for me, to say the least, but I am truly feeling more and more grounded every single day. Life is good, and I am happy. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. xo.
