I loved this post on the differences between riches, wealth and success.

An amazing illustrated speech from designer Debbie Millman in collaboration with Adobe. That book is so amazing!

Great career advice from Cup of Jo here and here.

More capsule wardrobe inspiration!! Yay.

Joy has a new cookbook out soon! If I was living in North America right now I’d be preordering it. As it is, I am just loving that book trailer so hard.

I’m thinking about getting a Yogaglo membership to kickstart my yoga habit back up. I’m also thinking about doing this yoga challenge (except not posting photos anywhere!).

More photos + quotes from Shutterbean. I love this series – here’s another.

The post is short and sweet this week, just like the week itself. It flew by but I still felt great and productive for most of it. I’ve been cultivating some great daily routines that I’m really excited about. This weekend I’ll be doing a little shopping, exploring my city a bit more, doing some work and hopefully running a race on Sunday morning! I hope you have an awesome weekend.

Lena Dunham gives such excellent advice. She’s so confident, so eloquent, so wise and so very herself. I love that she’s not afraid to embody many different things and show that she has so many facets to her personality. I can’t wait to read her book.

I totally loved this unconventional tip for tiny apartment living. This is tip #109, so there are so many to look through in the archives. I’ve been systematically making my way through these thoughtful posts all week.

I really liked the Zen Habits guide to eating well.

14 books, websites and Youtubers to check out for healthy-living inspiration. I watched so many random healthy channels this week, like blogilates, Sarah Fit and Bree Loves Beauty. That’s just real talk.

Another awesome-looking capsule wardrobe for fall! I’m still so inspired by the idea and really want to make my own.

This was the answer to all my vpn problems. I now have Spotify which probably makes me the happiest girl on the planet. Thank you, Crazy Blue.

I am really coveting this Lululemon scarf. Yes please.

I listened to the teaser of Serial, the new show by the creators of This American Life, and I am the most excited. I wasn’t sure about the concept at first but now I am nothing if not all about it. The series starts October 3rd.

This black bean burger though.

I can’t help it, I loved the videos of Beyoncé and Hova they showed at the end of On The Run. They look like they have such a sweet life.

And I’m off! The weather is officially coooool here in the Bu, and I feel excited about that. This weekend we don’t have anything terribly exciting planned but those always end up being my favourite weekends anyways. I’m hoping to take walks to the beach, drink my first chai latte of the season (too soon? I can’t tell/don’t care), go surfing and daydream. Have an amazing weekend!

Ps. I send out my newsletter on the last Friday of every month! (That’s today.) If you’re not much of a regular blog reader but want to stay in touch, sign up here to get the blog’s highlights once a month.

3 Good Things For Today

Just a few quick notes tonight:

1. It’s Match Day on Pencils of Promise today! PoP is a charity dedicated to building schools and improving education worldwide. I read the founder’s biography earlier this year and I really admire his worldview and the work they’re doing. For today only, the organization Common Bond is matching all donations up to $25,000 so you can double your impact.

2. If you haven’t seen it yet, Emma Watson’s speech at the UN was absolutely brilliant. The campaign He For She looks great and it’s exactly the kind of breath of fresh air the “movement” needs right now. I am inspired by how much progressive, awesome work is being done lately regarding women’s rights, men’s rights, human rights!

3. Kiva continues to be awesome! I recently got paid back $20 of my loans and reinvested tonight in a toilet business run by a woman in Kenya. I was inspired by my conversation with my mom about moving to the country and dealing with the trials and tribulations of a septic tank. It reminded me just how much I take running water, flushing toilets and sanitation for granted. If you aren’t familiar with Kiva, their awesome new video above will explain. I’ve decided I want to eventually loan to all 78 countries that Kiva supports.

And that’s all for today! If you’re curious, you can see all the causes I’ve supported so far this year right here. It’s a personal goal that’s been incredibly rewarding for me. Have an awesome and inspiring day.

I mentioned it in yesterday’s post, but I loved this short video about productive morning rituals. It inspired me to make a few changes this week.

This post made me feel feelings about life and home and family.

Meal-prep inspiration from Shutterbean! I also spent a long time on her Instagram hashtag #shutterbeandinner this week. Love it.

I signed up for the Braid Creative newsletter called Letters For Creatives after listening to Elise’s podcast interview with Kathleen.

If I was settling into an apartment right now, I’d be excited about these 37 cheap ways to make your Ikea stuff look good. For the record though? I’m actually really grateful I’m having adventures and not settling into an apartment right now. Still, they’re great ideas!

I went on a research SPREE this week regarding South East Asia. I use the term “research” lightly, because I was basically reading about awesome places and looking at beautiful photos and getting myself so excited for the next chapter in my life after my time in Korea. I spent a ton of time on That Backpacker – I particularly loved this article about Audrey’s favourite places in South East Asia, but she has so many inspiring posts. Go get sucked in the way I was!

I’ll be slowly adding a few more things to my travel photography shop over the next couple of weeks – including some photos from Japan! – so if you’re interested head over and have a look!

This weekend, my friends and I are heading to a nearby (bus-accessible) island to catch some rays and see some beautiful natural sights. I’m looking forward to exploring and relaxing. As always, you can follow along with me on Instagram @lifeinlimboblog. I hope you have a great weekend too!
