Inspiration March 13 >> Life In Limbo

I loved this list of what Goodreads staff are currently reading.

Rule of thumb: if I cried at it, it’s going in the inspiration post for the week. This story (and pictures) got me.

This app donates to charity with every mile you run! Amazing.

Listening to a lot of this, this and this.

I liked this minimalist packing list.

This post is making me so excited for my upcoming trip to Thailand (including Koh Tao!).

Some excellent ideas on this list of things every travel girl needs, and styled beautifully.

If I was in nest mode right now instead of “throw away all your stuff and travel” mode, I would be making my own version of this gorgeous weaving first.

I’ve been pinning some pretty things lately.

Well, things are ramping up around here. I have long to-do lists, boxes and bags half-packed, and an apartment getting emptier every day. I’m getting addicted to throwing things away and excited about sorting things into piles. In short: I’m starting to feel ready to travel! The big news from this week is that my sister decided to come to Thailand with me, which is making an already-exciting trip that much better. :)

For anyone kind enough to follow along in this space regularly, I want to let you know that from now on, posting will be a little more intermittent than it has been this past year. I won’t be posting regularly on Monday/Wednesday/Friday while I’m travelling, though I hope to post about once a week from the road. I will be trying to update Instagram pretty often so you can follow me there @lifeinlimboblog if you’re interested. Thank you so much for staying with me as this blog evolves, I truly appreciate it. Have an awesome weekend!

Inspiration March 6 >> Life In Limbo

A dreamy itinerary for one month in Thailand.

I didn’t watch the Oscars, but I loved the intro for the production design award.

I loved the photography project You Are My Wild a couple years ago, where a group of photographers took photos of their children. The group has started a new project called Because They Don’t Last Long to capture moments, and it looks awesome.

I want to go to New Orleans really badly.

There’s some wisdom in these 34 truths.

A girl I went to high school with is now a designer and architecture student in New York, and she posted her portfolio on Facebook this week. I was really blown away by her work, and especially loved her site analysis of the Toronto Entertainment District and interpretation of the Snow Queen fairytale.

As always, obsessed with Hugh Forte’s incredible photography.

I cried a little at this movie trailer for Twinsters.

Tough love: I regret to inform you that you simply aren’t doing your best.

It’s been a long week, but such a good one too. I applied for my India visa, chatted with lots of loved ones, planned my trip and got some really exciting news. I am tired and have a lot to do over the next few weeks but I’m jazzed about all of it. I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Inspiration February 27 >> Life In Limbo

This post on Northern India got me super excited for my trip.

In related notes, I’m going through all of Indie Traveller’s backpacking guides too!

I re-watched this animated Ira Glass quote this week and, as always, needed to hear it.

“Forget opinions, and memorize empathy. Good grown-ups don’t care about being right; they prefer being informed.” Some solid words of wisdom in this piece.

I read Station Eleven this week and it was really amazing and totally terrifying and very poignant too.

Lululemon is making mala beads now! And of course they are gorgeous.

I liked this packing list a lot, but it made me want to buy a lot of great technical clothing.

I can’t find the post this picture is attached to, but it makes me want to pack my bags this instant and leave town.

I think I’ve linked to this before, but I re-visited it this week on one of my more self-inquisitive days (aren’t they all?): 7 strange questions that help you find your life purpose.

Thanks to a recommendation from the ladies at Invisibilia, I downloaded two episodes of the Storycorps podcast this week, cried at both, and am officially hooked. Only 413 episodes and countless tears to go!

Things are moving, slowly but surely and very logistically for my upcoming trip. I checked off two major wins this week – my Hep A vaccine and Korean police check (passed with flying colours!) – and have plans to sort out my India visa within the next week. Lots of paperwork and mild anxiety that I might not be doing this whole thing right!! Ahh! But it’s all good and it’ll all work out. Hope you all had a tremendously lovely week. Let’s all relax a lot this weekend! Xo.

Photo taken on a trail near my apartment on Wednesday.

Some great tips on how to be more balanced and productive.

I got into an INFJ research rut last weekend and had to laugh at this article about the 5 best career paths for INFJs – aka every career I’ve ever considered.

The Omprakash EdGe program looks really amazing – it’s an online training course + immersive internships for people interested in international aid or volunteering.

Another installment of “What Boys Think of Girl Names”, and this time my name was in it! Really funny, I love Buzzfeed.

The pictures in this blog post about Luang Prabang made me SO EXCITED to visit there.

A cool article about a week in the (food) life of Joy the Baker.

When work is like work. (I’ll never stop loving blackout poetry)

I found this gorgeous pastel Instagram feed and had hearts in my eyes.

And from me: I made delicious kimchi pancake for Guinea Pigging Green!

We’re off work this week for Lunar New Year here in Korea, so I took a mini blog break on Wednesday. This week I’ve been relaxing and saying goodbyes to friends who are on to other adventures. I have less than 40 days left of living here, which is scary and exciting all at once. Lots to do, but lots to look forward to. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
