Every week on Friday, I share a list of the most interesting and inspiring content I’ve read lately here on my blog. You can expect thoughts on productivity, happiness, balance, spirituality, politics, and more. Subscribe here to get updates. See archives here.
I am such a fan of James Clear’s weekly 321 newsletter: 3 ideas, 2 quotes, and 1 question. Simple, straightforward and always insightful. Loved idea #1 last week – see it here.
Seth Godin’s podcast episode last week was a fascinating examination of all kinds of privilege. I like the argument he’s making about the benefit of the doubt and how not giving it negatively impacts our culture.
Lovely thoughts in this podcast episode with Cathy Heller and Gabby Bernstein about how to become a super attractor. Hint: it’s about letting go.
Loved this quote: “You have to spend the time to sort through the junk to find the treasure. The only way to find the good stuff, the special stuff, the genuine moments and the true inspiration, is to first engage with the everyday, the mundane, the seemingly useless, the things nobody else seems to care about. So engage. There is no shortcut; there is no algorithm. If all you do is track what’s trending, then all you’ll ever know is exactly what everyone else already knew. To discover, you have to dig.”
I have become a YNAB convert this week!! I’m sure I’ll write more about this soon, but for now I’ll just say: I was skeptical, then I was frustrated, then I watched this guy’s amazing videos, and now I’m in love.
Celebrating along with Elise this week as her book gets published! I’ve been a fan of hers for literally YEARS and watching her journey to creating this book inspires me beyond. It took her years to figure out what to write about, then years to get it written and published. It’s a beautiful example of things taking longer than you think. So excited to get my (pre-ordered!) copy in the mail soon.
Over on my business blog this week I’m writing about why starting a mastermind group has been transformational for me and how you can create your own!
This week’s blog posts: Protect Your Vulnerabilities, Don’t Quit in the Dip, Fresh Perspective, Go for a Walk, and Make It Real.
Another week gone in a blink! This week felt like the wrapping up of a few loose ends, which was very soothing for my anxiety. I am feeling happy as I head into the Thanksgiving long weekend. I am so grateful for my life, for my family, for my friends, for where I live, for my clients, for my work. It is hard work to design a life you love but it is worth it every single day. Every single day. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Hold your loved ones close. xo.
