The Book Learning Podcast: #2

Episode 2: The Beginner Writer’s Toolbox (Part 1)

It’s a juicy week for the podcast! This week, we’re tackling the major mental obstacles that most beginning writers have to deal with as they start their journey as a writer. These are big ideas – really big ones! Writing can be very discouraging and difficult at times, so (we hope that) learning what not to do when you start writing can keep you writing for longer! Make sense? Maybe you should watch the video. Or, you can listen to the podcast here.

Mentioned

We mentioned a few different resources this week for the beginner writer. Check them out!

We also talked up some really great books that we’re reading! These are them.

  2. I really enjoyed this podcast. You literally had me jumping out of my seat when you talked about how you need to give the novel some space after you write it as you’re too close to it and will either love it too much to be hard on it or hate it so much that you want to scrap it. I’ve hated every novel I’ve written right after I finish it, but then I go back and read it at least a month later and realize that it’s not so bad. It’s nice to see that others know that feeling. Keep up the great work! :)

    1. Thanks for your comment! That’s awesome that you realized that others feel that way: I feel that way *all* the time. :) I’m so glad you enjoyed the podcast. Hope you keep listening!!
