Project 365: Week 8

I love the progress I’m making with Project 365! I always worry I’m “slacking off” each day and not capturing a nice moment, but I also always forget how long the days are and how many surprises end up being in store. Plus, no matter how I feel about the photos at the time, I always like them much more once I see them on my computer a few days later. (Lesson here? Things always seem better a few days later?) Anyways, I’m still enjoying it a ton. I hope to get more inspired as the weather turns warmer and the weeks of school become less and less! Happy Thursday.

As always, check out the Flickr set of all the project 365 photos here.

February

2012 has been so amazing so far. I’ve been perfecting my routines, working on my health, and trying to be efficient in my schoolwork. But I’ve also added a whole pile of creative projects into the mix, and they’ve been so enriching to my life.

I almost always have my camera with me when I spend time with friends, and in January I decided to start taking a few videos as well as photos. Packaging them together with some great music has been so rewarding – it’s such a great way to preserve memories! I have a feeling that I’ll look back on this year’s worth of videos and be so thrilled I worked on this project.

Project 365: Week 7

I’ve been loving Project 365 this week. It’s becoming second-nature to take photos every day, which is AWESOME in and of itself. But I’ve also been lucky enough to have a lot of great subject matter this past week – my family home always has something exciting going on to photograph. I’ve been enjoying myself here at home immensely, it’s such a nice break. I’ll be heading back to Montreal tomorrow, refreshed and happy.

Have an awesome weekend, everyone!

Project 365: Week 6

I’ll admit it: this project is pretty tough. I’m amazed at the number of days I seemingly do nothing interesting. Finding the time and the inspiration to take photos is a lot harder than I imagined it would be. But, I still love the project. Seeing just the Flickr set alone makes me happy + makes me remember it’s worth it. I’m having to look into backing up photos though because I have so many to store on my computer now!

I think the best part begins now: I’ve photographed almost everything in my apartment, so I have to really get creative: make things to take pictures of, spend time with friends, use different angles or perspectives. P365 is really forcing me to get intimate with my camera, and that’s the whole point!
